About Poe

Poe is an adorable shepherd mix who was born in December of 2021. He is still a young puppy and he will need a family who will be willing to work on training a young puppy. He especially needs work on confidence boosting and leash walking. He is doing phenomenal with crate training and potty training, but given his age we expect in a new environment he will still need some work. He is very scared in new situations and will pancake to the ground when trying to take for a leash walk, so we think having a fenced in yard would be ideal for him. He gets along with dogs of all sizes and doesn't seem to mind cats either- but he will try to kiss everyone. He has also doe great with his human foster brother who is 3.5 years old. Poe's adoption donation of $400 helps cover the cost of his vetting. We will also require a training deposit of $100, which is refundable upon providing proof of completion of a professional beginning obedience class. Poe is up to date on vaccines, scheduled for his neuter, microchipped, and on heartworm prevention. Adopters should live within a 1.5 hour driving distance of Romeoville, IL.
