Dallas came to us from the Nogales shelter where he was at risk due to overcrowding. Dallas is 4-5 years old and is a mixed breed. This medium sized white cutie weighs in at around 22 lbs. and is just full of love and life. He is super active but loves attention. Dallas is a little apprehensive new situations and surroundings and will need time to adjust. He does not do well being forced to do things he doesn't like or doesn't know. He is mostly house trained and knows how to use the doggie door. Dallas crates up easily with a treat and tolerates being crated well. He can be vocal though if other dogs are around and not crated (hey! That's not fair!), but once settled in, he will remain quiet. Dallas is learning to walk on a leash and is making good progress. When in public settings, Dallas tends to be vocal initially but does settle down after he's been allowed to explore and other dogs. Dallas' favorite thing is to play with other dogs, regardless of size. He romps with Great Pyrenees and Chihuahuas, though he occasionally needs to be reminded that the little ones can't handle his intensity and energy. He is untested with cats, and considering his exuberant personality, we do not believe he would be good with cats or very young children. Dallas currently sleeps in his kennel all night without an issue. He has spent the night in his fosters' bed and enjoyed sleeping close to his people. He does have a slight palsy type tic around his front legs and feet. It does not affect him at all and is only noticeable when he is calm and relaxed. This came about after his neuter surgery and his new vet should be made aware of this in case of future need for anesthesia.
