Please note that we will ask for a vet reference. Name: Bambi Age: 3 years Breed: Mixed breed, medium, 33# Sex: Female, not spayed Location: Baja California, Mexico Vet Information: Bambi has been diagnosed with glaucoma in her right eye, although she has no vision in either eye due to her diagnosis of ehrlichiosis, for which she is undergoing treatment with doxycycline and prednisone. Bambi was additionally diagnosed with anemia and other blood disorders for which she is being treated. She has tested heartworm negative. Bambi will be given blood tests once treatment is complete to determine if it is safe for her to be vaccinated and spayed since she is not currently spayed or up to date with vaccines. She is not microchipped. Caretaker Information: Bambi was found by a Good Samaritan who helped her to get off the streets. Bambi's current caretaker has since taken her in to help her find a loving, adoptive home. Bambi is an indoor dog with the run of the house. She is housebroken and leash trained, and Bambi knows the cue for sit. Her caretaker tells us that she is super clean with her house training and very smart!! Bambi learns fast with rewards. Bambi can be a shy girl, and the vet believes that it is due to her blindness, but she is good with people of all ages, male and female dogs, cats, and other small animals. She currently lives with several other animals, and she has adapted very well. Bambi is not possessive with treats, toys, or food, and she has never shown aggression to a person or other animal. She has no bite history. Her caretaker feels that she adapts well to new situations and surroundings despite her blindness because she is living in a small apartment, gets along well with everyone, and knows where things are. Her Caretaker would like you to know: 'Bambi is very smart; she knows how to walk on a leash. She is so quiet. She only asks for love.' Does anyone have room for sweet Bambi?
