The shelter got it right when they named this stray 'Mr. Chill'! He's calm, easy to leash, walks well (occasionally pulls but easily corrected). Was kenneled with other male dogs; also friendly with his foster parents' female dog. Untested with cats. Heartworm negative! House- and kennel-trained. Estimated to be around 2 years old (teeth in good condition). He loves to fetch and will bring the ball back to you to make it easy! He's learning new tricks like 'sit' and 'paw/shake'. He's good in the car, sometimes needs help getting in but he's learning! Mr. Chill loves water and will run around in front of the spray nozzle while his foster parents water the plants (but he listens when we tell him not to go into the plant beds - he has good manners :-) He's a bit submissive around new people but warms up quickly. As he gets comfortable with you he shows more excitement and energy. The only aggression ever shown was when his kennel mates wanted his food at the shelter - feeding separately does the trick! Mr. Chill is a love-bug and wants to give his foster parents kisses. He is untested around children. The Australian Kelpie as the secondary breed is a guess as he hasn't had DNA done yet. It could also be Lab or similar. His current weight is 73 pounds and he's a little chonky at that weight. Mr. Chill is a great dog in need of a loving forever home. Come meet him soon!
