About Bernie

Hello-my name is Bernie. Let me tell you a little about myself. My mom was dropped in the street a few days before she gave birth to me and my littermates on April 3. We are all so grateful that she was rescued and we were born in a home with wonderful people to care for us. They think we have Pointer and Lab in us (Mom looks like a Pointer and some of my brothers look like Labs), but really, it's a guess. We think I'll weigh about 50 pounds when all grown up. People describe me as confident, playful and friendly. I am always smiling the biggest smile, and I get others to smile along with me with my goofy antics. I almost forgot to mention my tail-it is black-looks like it was dipped in black paint, except for the tip, which is solid white. You just have to see it to understand how cute it is! I'm learning a lot of new things, and so want someone who will teach me all of the rules on how to be the perfect adult dog. I'm working on housetraining, but, being a baby, I still have some accidents. I'm playful with dogs (especially big ones), cats, and children, though my teeth and nails are still puppy sharp and I can accidentally scratch smaller children.
