This distinguished gentleman came into the shelter as a stray. As good looking as he is, we were sure he had an owner out there somewhere. This was confirmed when we found he had a microchip! Unfortunately, his microchip traced back to Canada and then turned into a dead end. We were unable to locate his owner, and no one has come looking for him. The first thing you'll notice about Stanley is how vocal he is. He does A LOT of 'talking.' He's very sweet and loves people - especially people who give him attention and pet him! Stanley has attended in shelter playgroups and gotten along well with other dogs. He has an 'in charge' kind of mentality that may rub some other dogs the wrong way. His talkative nature also carries over towards other dogs, which can sometimes be intimidating to those that don't know what a sweetheart Stanley is. This sweetness, however, does not extend to cats. He would prefer to live in a cat free household. He has a low to average energy level, and is content with doing the bare minimum for exercise. No need to get too crazy - his puppy play days are well behind him. But he's still got a lot of life left to live and love left to give. Stanley is an 8YO German Shepherd who came into the shelter as a stray on 6/3/22. He weighs 97 lbs.
