Bottom line, sweet, playful, happy and at the shelter to long! In the yard he is playful and social. Today we were in the backyard playing fetch with the sprinklers on. He didn't mind the sprinklers at all as he ran through them. He solicit attention and enjoys receiving it. He takes treats gently and knows sit command. He comes when called. He's well behaved and has good manners. He is very happy in the yard. He's a pretty loud with his breathing and snorting (it's not growling). MAILBOX (Tue, Dec 21, 2021 10:53 PM) ENGAGEMENT TRAINING Per Volunteer Date of Interaction: [email protected] Animals: CHICO (#A2005010) M y interaction with Chico was much like previous interactions. Just a different dog in the adjacent yard that Chico ran alongside of, back and forth, along the dividing fence. Chico did not display any aggressiveness. He was easy to releash and rekennel. MAILBOX (Mon, Dec 6, 2021 1:37 PM) ENGAGEMENT TRAINING Per Volunteer Date of Interaction: 12/5/2021 Animals: CHICO (#A2005010) Much like the previous interaction, except that the dog in the adjacent yard paid no attention to Chico, and he stood at the dividing fence, wagging his tail and barking at her, in a playful manner. MAILBOX (Sun, Nov 28, 2021 10:16 PM) ENGAGEMENT TRAINING Per Volunteer Date of Interaction: [email protected] Animals: CHICO (#A2005010) There was no issue putting the leash on Chico and walking him to the play yard. I removed the leash in the yard and Chico wandered around. When I called him over, he came to me and I gave him a couple of treats, which he took gently. There was a dog in the adjacent yard and both dogs got about riled, but not aggressively. They ran back and forth along the center dividing fence. I was able to releash him and return him to the kennel without any problem. MAILBOX (Sat, Nov 13, 2021 9:46 AM) ENGAGEMENT TRAINING Per Volunteer Date of Interaction: 11/12/2021 Animals: CHICO (#A2005010) Chico listened to correction when he pulled towards a kennel on the way to the play yard. I removed the leash in the yard, and he explored. Another dog, Darla, was brought into the adjacent yard and she and Chico had a friendly interaction at the dividing fence, and then the two took off running, side-by-side, back and forth, along the length of the fence. Neither dog showed any aggression. Chico has become engaging and will come when called. He takes treats gently, and as before, he was easy to releash and rekennel.
