About Aspen

Almost Home Foster Kennels, MN Lic. 132328 is a 501c3, not-for-profit rescue organization. AHFK is located in SE Minnesota in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue. Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia. All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, and a home visit. Our Adoption fee is $395.00 for a single dog adoption, $695.00 for a bonded pair. All our dogs are completely vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. We are currently accepting applications for Aspen. Aspen is a slight, female, Tricolored Beagle. Aspen is 5-years of age. She is house-trained. Aspen would do best in a home that has a fur-sibling and a securely, fenced yard (anti-dig bars is a must). We would also love for Aspen to have a human pet parent that can be home with her - a work from home parent or a retired individual or couple. Aspen, is her previous environment was abandoned when her owners moved, leaving her alone in the home. If not for the neighbors discovering her, feeding and caring for her, she would not be with us today. Therefore, Aspen now has some separation anxiety issues. She does better with time-when she discovers that she is not being left behind. Aspen will need a family with time, patience, compassion, and with lots of love and cuddles.
