Almost Home Foster Kennels, MN Lic. 132328 is a 501c3, not-for-profit rescue organization. AHFK is located in SE Minnesota in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue. Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia. All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, and a home visit. Our Adoption fee is $395.00 for a single dog adoption, $695.00 for a bonded pair. All our dogs are completely vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. We are currently accepting applications for Izzy. Izzy is a 14-month-old Boxer/Am. Bulldog Mix, and she is gorgeous. Izzy was pulled from a high-kill shelter in Eastern KY. She spent nearly all of her life incarcerated; dropped off as an 8 week old pup. Due to the administration of the shelter, at the time, rescues were not welcomed, most of the animals were euthanized; a few lucky to have been adopted. Izzy does well with other dogs, best with another her own age and size. Izzy is approximately 55-60 pounds. She walks well on a leash, will crate with a treat or food, remember, she has been incarcerated for over a year��%BD'��%BD|freedom is a new and wonderful experience for her. Izzy would do best in a home that has a fur-sibling and a securely, fenced yard. We would also love for Izzy to have a human pet parent that can be home with her - a work from home parent or a retired individual or couple, who can work with Izzy. Izzy will need a family with time, patience, compassion, and with lots of love and cuddles, and above all��%BD'��%BD|energy. Izzy has not been cat or kid tested. Izzy will complete all of her vetting the 1st week of July. She will be fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Meet and greets are scheduled upon approved, completed application.
