About Hobie

This red guy is Hobie, an Australian Cattledog male who was born in September, 2020. He weighs between 35-40 pounds. Hobie knows all of his basic commands: sit, down, stay, place, ok, and leave it. He is house trained, too. Hobie is looking for a quiet home in an area that isn't busy. He is a cuddly and lovely with people who are his. He does require a polite introduction to strangers as he can be fearful with new people and busy situations. He had an instance where he wasnt sure, was in an unfamiliar place, and did give a solid nip to someone. His people have realized that he needs a quieter home to feel more secure. He has since been muzzle trained, just so there aren't worries when at places like a vet's office. When Hobie is with his people, he is a delight. He loves to play fetch and knows the command to go get his ball. Hobie is also very good on leash and a polite passenger in the car. Hobie lives with two other dogs. He can sometimes be a bully, so will need someone who sets clear boundaries and helps him remember the rules. He does leave cats alone, as long as they are dog savvy and don't run. Hobie is very affectionate. He has a funny habit of sleeping upside down with paws in the air. He will do anything to get you to play with him and if you don't, he will throw his toys in the air for himself to catch. He is much more play motivated than treat motivated. Hobie is located in Seal Beach, CA. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is ready to meet potential adopters who can meet and adopt here. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required.
