About Maximus

Maximus, 1 yr old #germanshepherd 63lbs Maximus life has been turned���� upside down, not sure how he ended up in the shelter but he knows it's sure not a home! Who are all these strangers and loud dogs? Where are they taking me? He calmly comes out of kennel and walks nicely to the yard to play and potty. Poor young Maximus flinches at loud noises and barking dogs but does seem to find comfort in more welcoming dogs. He even relaxes and gives tail wags to dogs passing by and tried to approach a soft bodied puppy while walking back to his kennel. Like all shelter dogs he will need time to decompress and adjust to his new surroundings. After some initial separation he may do well with a calm social dog to show him the way. Maximus appears to be the calm, sensitive type that will need a quiet home and a patient foster to help him overcome this recent trauma. He must have had a person at some point, as he walks well on his leash. He sure would like to leave the shelter and get into a home again.
