About BELLE

***NEEDS FOSTER OR FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Jerome boarding kennels Meet sweet, smart, loving 2.5 year old, 75 - 80 pound BELLE. She was brought to a boarding center by her family and never picked up. She was placed in a home with someone home all the time, but the little, older dog was not happy with the new situation, so BELLE was returned only after a day. The family shared that BELLE was 'amazing'. She settled into the new home quickly and was well-mannered in the home. She loved belly rubs. BELLE showed no signs of abandonment (e.g., no hiding, no barking). BELLE did show some signs of not being able to settle at night, but that should come with more decompression time and learning a new routine. BELLE also showed some signs of cowering when the grandma stood over her and tried to give her love, but BELLE went right over to her and loved on her after grandma sat down. The family did not use a crate, but introduced BELLE to a pet door. BELLE quickly learned how to use when the flap was off. She quickly learned recall too. BELLE should be good with dogs, but unknown with cats. She wanted to play with the little dog in the home, but the family thought that BELLE's safety was in jeopardy. Based on at least one meet with toddlers and elementary school kids, BELLE should be good with kids in her furever family. She is vaccinated and spayed and will be microchipped for her furever family.
