Finn 7lbs dob 01.30.19- 3yo Neutered Microchipped UTD on vaccinations HW neg/ flea & tick preventatives A veterinarian office contacted our rescue & asked if we would please take in this young Maltese who was being released by a local breeder. We said 'sure' & went to scoop him up. Finn has a liver shunt that interferes with his diet. We ran some tests & easily got him on the proper diet for his condition. Finn will not need to see a specialist on a regular basis, your local vet will be all he needs for a happy healthy life. He is on one daily medication, lactulose, to keep his liver 'lubed'. He will need to stay on a low protein diet, the one we have him on is working very well for him. It is convenient & easily accessible. Finn's liver condition does not affect his ability to be a fun joyful little boy. He loves to explore, play with his foster siblings, and cuddle on the couch. He is also a very good car rider. He is a happy little boy that is ready to get his forever family. As mentioned, Finn is a wee little guy, only 7 pounds. He will need a family that knows the importance of keeping him safe from roughhousing. He will need gentle appropriately sized playmates, so he doesn't get injured. He has not had a chance to work on a leash yet, so we will require a physically fenced yard.
