Petal - Mini Poodle/ Female dob 06.03.18/ 3.5yo/ 12 lbs Spayed Microchipped UTD on Vaccines Flea/Heartworm Preventative Petal was very shy and scared when she arrived, but she has come a long way in learning to trust people. Potential adopters should be prepared to be patient with her as she adjusts. Because Petal has never been a pet, she still needs to learn socialization. She is very excited to have things of her own, like a soft blanket, a lap to snuggle in, and toys to play with. Petal is loving these new things, especially toys! Petal is progressing on house training but needs plenty of opportunity to continue this success. She should be taken out frequently and praised when she does her business. She has done well with a harness & leash so a fence yard is not a requirement as long she is never let off the leash. Because Petal is still learning new things, a home with older respectful children would be a better fit for her. Little ones running and playing will be too much for her right now. She needs guidance from her humans as she continues navigating her relationship with each family member. Petal loves having all the attention on herself; therefore, she would do best as being the only dog.
