About Gizmo

Gizmo lived with several dogs and an older couple. When the elderly man passed away, the wife was unable to care for all the dogs on her own so poor Gizmo ended up at the shelter. But he may have been the lucky one; he was flea infested, underweight and had a terrible abscess on his leg possibly caused by a dog bite. Gizmo has since been treated for fleas and the abscess. This handsome boy has gained weight and his hair and skin is looking so much better! He gets along with other dogs but we do not know his feelings about cats. Gizmo is about 4 years old and 40 pounds and ready to find his forever home. Update: Gizmo tested positive for Lyme's. He is currently undergoing the usual course of oral antibiotic which will be given to his new family to complete. Gizmo is otherwise doing great and is very happy to be available for adoption! We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
