About Scout

My name is Scout and I'm a young, energetic gal, who is estimated to be 1 year old and weigh about 55 pounds. I'm happy, sweet, and curious about my surroundings. In playgroups here at the shelter, I have been social and puppy-like with other dogs. I can be wary of new people, but just need time to warm up to them. I am not comfortable with children and do not do well with them when they are loud and active I will also chase cats so a home without them is needed. I love to be with my people and know the command Sit. I am house trained, crate trained, and ride well in the car. I love chew toys an do best with hard toys. A home with children over the age of 15 is required. I will do best with consistent training and regular exercise, which will help me to be more calm in the home and not have as much puppy energy. My adoption fee has been PREPAID by a generous donor so you'll only need $25 for my annual dog license, if you live in Jackson County.
