About Flash

Adoption Fee: $150
Border Collie
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Flash is a 4 year old, 50 pound Border Collie. Flash can be insecure with new people and may shy away at first. He will not do well with people who are heavy handed with him or with children and the high energy they may exhibit. Border Collie breeds are known to be quick, agile and well suited for short bursts of speed. Border collies can be energetic, highly focused, intelligent and a fast learners. Herding breeds are dogs who typically need a job that involves daily exercise, both mental and physical. Flash has been fairly insecure and shut down at the shelter so his energy level in a home setting may change once he is comfortable. During play sessions with other dogs, Flash has shown to be a high energy player and has done well with some dogs, but is not tolerant of all dogs. Flash should not go to a home with small children and should meet other dogs in the home prior to adoptoin. Flash is a sweet dog and while he may be a bit shy at first, he is worth taking the time to get to know. It is unknown how he does with cats. The adoption fee is $150, plus $25 for an annual dog license, if you live in Jackson County. For more information or to set up an appointment to meet adoptable animals, please call the Jackson County Animal Shelter at 541-774-6654 and press 7 to be transferred to a staff person.
