About Gracie Jo

Hi everyone! My name is Gracie Jo. I am a 4 y/o Lab/Terrier Mix that is looking for her new forever home in Colorado that will help me flourish and allow me to be the fun loving dog I've always been. I usually hover around 50lbs for weight. The reason you are reading about me on this site, is not because I'm a stray, abandoned, or in any grave danger. It's because my family's house is growing with a 2y/o and another baby on the way. My dad & bestfriend also travels alot for work and I miss him when he's gone. I get nervous, anxious and protective around babies, toddlers, small children and food. I also have sensitive areas on my body. I've continued to try my best and be a great dog but small children worry me. When it comes to anyone 6+ years old.. I am the life of the party and absolutely love playing, kissing, cuddling and loving up on every human I have come in contact with. I've been known to take walks and explore my neighborhood if the opportunity presents itself, but I've always been brought home by the neighborhood kids/teens and their family's. I love long walks, am crate trained, house trained and can do commands such as sit, shake, lay down and pray. Most of the day you can find me laying on my favorite cold spot on the tile floor cooling off in this summer heat. When I'm inside I tend to relax to myself unless there is some playful action going on. Though I'm friendly, I don't get too much socializing with other dogs regularly. I spend a lot of time in my backyard and lounging at home. I have never been around cats. I do board frequently at my local Vet clinic and I absolutely love visiting and being with them. I get really excited when my family says I get to go see 'my friends'. I've never lived with another animal, it's always been me since I was a small puppy. I am in great health with no health issues. I am currently up to date on all vaccinations, health checks and am even chipped. Though I currently live in Texas with my family, my family is working closely with another Colorado Group to help with home and reference checks. Our adoption fee will be donated to their 501(c)(3). If I find my forever home in Colorado, I will be driven or flown to Colorado. That's how much my owners want me to find my perfect home. They know I deserve this.
