About Moonpie

MoonPie is a 2 year old lab/hound mix (unconfirmed). He is quiet and very sweet to all dogs and humans big and small. He has been fine with chickens but a bit aggressive with cats. MoonPie loves running free and then snuggling up in his favorite chair. He only eats when his pack (family) eats. He does not have any food aggression at all. He is not motivated by food either. So treats don't tend to work for training. MoonPie does have accidents in the house. This tends to happen when he is scared (but we are still unsure what is scaring him) MoonPie loves a job. Currently he walks our kid to school and takes that job very seriously . He lets me know when we are late! The neighborhood kids love him and he loves them. MoonPie has some fears - he doesn't like loud noises or sudden movements. For this reason he is better suited to a house without kids. Another reason is that he nips and scratches to get your attention. It's not malicious- he just communicates physically. He is a really sweet, quirky, quiet, loving guy. He is beautiful and graceful and smart. With big space and the ability to be independent, MoonPie will thrive.
