About MINDY

DON'T LET HER AGE FOOL YOU!! Mindy is a still active & healthy 16 yr old Yorkie. Her owner went into a home and the family didn't want her. She's been with our rescue for just over a year now. She's very sweet, timid & quiet. She's not clingy or needy at all. She loves being pet & is good with other dogs, cats & strangers. Mindy is housebroken, rides great in the car & walks good on leash. She's great for bath time & is very tolerant of anything you need to do (like diapering/bathing), except she doesn't like her nose & feet touched or her nails cut (except by the groomer). Mindy weighs 13-14 lbs & is spayed, current on vaccinations & recently had a dental cleaning. She's a total foodie & eats like she's starving though. The vet thinks she may have cushings disease, but she hasn't shown any clinical signs yet. But that's why she eats really fast & drinks a ton of water. She only takes glucosamine for arthritis & adrenal support drops for random urine leakage at night sometimes. That's when she drinks the most water. However, she's not incontinent; but I diaper her at night just in case. Otherwise, Mindy is healthy at this time & takes no pharmaceuticals currently.
