Dakota was picked up as a stray and put in Riverside shelter, a very high-kill place in SoCal. Like so many dogs there, he was afraid bc it's a big, loud, overcrowded shelter and a lot of dogs and cats get euthanized each week-animals can smell it! He was adopted by someone from the public at the last minute during one of the shelter 'free adoption event', but like so often happens with those events, the adopted never showed up and poor Dakota was fast-tracked to be put to sleep, right after being neutered. We rescued him at the last minute, put him in a good place to decompress and learn to be a playful dog again, and now he is in OR looking for the perfect family home. Dakota loves other dogs, totally loves people, is very expressive with his affection, a little bit goofy in a good way (excited to see you) and a little bit on the submissive side. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and groomed (he is beautiful by the way-this long hair floats when he moves). Call/text the rescue at 406-270-3903 for a meet and greet with Dakota
