About AJ

Adoption Fee: $275
Irish Setter / Lab
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Meet AJ We rescued AJ from a high kill county shelter. He was on death row because he had a bad case of pneumonia. We immediately got him to our vet where he was also diagnosed with kennel cough. Aj spent over two weeks hospitalized. His bill was upwards of $5000. But he is out of the hospital and has been in our care now for over a month. He is healthy and ready for adoption. Our rescue will cover his neuter Simi Valley spay neuter clinic. AJ is up to date with vaccinations and microchipped. He is about 50 lbs and according to our vets best guess he is a Lab/Irish Setter mix. AJ is about 3-4years old. He LOVES toys! Especially his chicken toy. He does not like to share that one with other dogs but would love for you to throw it to him. AJ loves going on walks and is good on the leash. He is fine around children - we would recommend a home with children 8 and above. Only because he could accidentally knock a baby over. AJ comes with a free week of professional training and a lifetime discount on training thereafter. If you are interested in adopting AJ please send your inquiry to [email protected] and we will send you an application immediately. We don't transport animals and we don't accept phone calls initially! Thanks in advance for your interest in AJ! AJ has a neuter appointment Set up at Simi Valley Spay Neuter clinic for July which our rescue will cover. ***Please do not apply if you expect that we will hold the animal while you go on summer vacation. We do not hold animals.
