Milian (Millie) is looking for her FOREVER HOME! Millie was rescued this sweetheart from Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center and is in a loving foster home in Citrus County, FL This poor girl has been in the shelter since December, after being found as a stray in terrible condition. In the last couple months she has started to go blind. She was seen by an Ophthalmologist this week which confirmed the very sad diagnosis of Progressive retinal atrophy, an inherited condition and she is expected to be completely blind in 2-6 months. Millie doesn't let this get her down, as she is the sweetest girl and loves everyone. She is a playgroup rockstar and loves other dogs. She is potty trained and walks well on a leash. She is 2 years old and weighs 55 lbs. she is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and up to date with shots. We would love to find her a home soon before she goes completely blind to help her to navigate her surroundings. We would also love to find her a home with another dog. Blind dogs adjust wonderfully and live full and happy lives. If you would like to be Millie's guardian angel please go to our website at rescuedogsdream.com and complete an application. Background check, reference and vet checks will be completed prior to meeting.
