About Ruger

We welcomed 2.5 year-old Ruger into our home from a pretty lengthy shelter stay. It has become very apparent after having him in our home that Ruger feels most comfortable with women and not in a family setting with busy kids, and men make him incredibly anxious. As the woman in the house, Ruger is affectionate with me and listens to my commands. He knows sit, stay, and here. He runs off leash with me on the trails and stays close, and comes when called. Ruger loves to play ball and to just be near while you work outside. He is crate trained and enjoys spending time on the porch. Ruger has done fine with our male hound dog and older female shepherd. He is up to date on all vaccinations, has a microchip, is neutered, and I do have all of that paperwork. He must go to a woman-only home, and I suggest absolutely no young children. We want this boy to be successful with a home and will require meeting with you.
