Meet Courtney!! She's been overlooked to long!! This beautiful girl and her brother Kurt Cobain(also posted) ended up in the shelter and they were starved to the point of being skeletons ���z They were in horrible shape but thanks to our volunteers and supporters we got them here quickly and they are doing fantastic! The transformation is incredible in just a short time! Courtney is an approx 1 year old, female, Pitbull type mix. She weighs 45 pounds. She will be spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped as part of her adoption. She is thankfully heartworm negative. Courtney LOVES everyone and everything, she is very friendly and good with all other dogs. She hasn't met any cats yet so we aren't sure how she would do. She's left all of her abuse behind and is the happiest little thing! She is great meeting strangers and is very social and friendly. She can be vocal when meeting new dogs but she loves them all. She may accidentally knock over smaller kids due to her being hyper at times and being prone to jumping up. She's just very happy and excited about life. Courtney does great in the house. We have worked with her on training and she's learned so much. She's great about crating and is quiet and content when crated. She sleeps overnight in her crate or snuggled up in your bed. She's decent on the leash but gets excited and pulls at times. She does well on car rides. Her potty training is going very well. She's not had any accidents recently. Courtney has a lot of energy currently. She's playful and hyper at times but also has a mellow and cuddly side. She does best with another playful dog to run and wrestle with. She does need a fenced yard due to her need to run several times a day. After a day of playing and running she loves to relax in your lap. She shares toys with other dog's just fine and takes treats around other dogs without issues. Due to her being starved almost to death she is protective over her food around other dogs. She is fine with people around her food. This may fade with time as she learns food will always be there for her but please plan to crate feed her or feed her separate from other dogs. She currently does great eating in her crate. This super sweet girl has been through hell but she's ready to put that behind her and join a loving family�%9D%A4��%8F �z���%8FVet and home checks required �z���%8FFenced yard required ���� DO NOT APPLY IF YOU RENT AND HAVENT ALREADY ASKED YOUR LANDLORD IF YOU CAN OWN A PITBULL TYPE BREED���� Unfortunately they are not allowed in most rental situations.
