About White Bellied Caique

Pet Bird
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

I am looking for a new home for my 10 month old DNA sexed male white bellied caique. I have had him since he was a baby. He still has some black feathers around his head, but I was told by his breeder that these feathers would gradually be replaced by orange/yellow feathers as he molts. His name is Leonardo and he is absolutely adorable, hilarious, and so much fun. However, he is extremely aggressive and fearless toward other animals. This has only gotten worse as he's gotten older. I have two small dogs and he constantly dive bombs them and terrorizes them to the point where I cannot keep them in the same room. My dogs have started to become aggressive towards him and this scares me. I have tried to make this work, but I have come to the sad realization that Leonardo would be happier in an environment without dogs. I think he would probably get along with another caique or similar sized bird with a gradual introduction, but I am not 100% sure. He is so sweet, playful, and loving towards me and I want to find him a home where he can be the center of attention. Please research caiques before contacting me. They are NOT BEGINNER BIRDS and they are not cheap. I will not be giving him away for free, as I do not want him to be flipped for a higher price. I will be asking for an adoption fee that is typical for caiques. He will come with a small cage, although he is free flighted around the house and rarely goes in his cage except to sleep. If you are interested, please tell me a bit about your home and if you have prior experience with birds. I will be very picky about where Leonardo goes. If you do not do this I will not respond. Thanks
