About Polka

We rescued Polka from a high kill shelter! She was surrendered with her litter and her mama. How could anyone leave 7 week old pups at a high kill shelter where over 1k pups and kittens are PTS monthly? We stepped in- and brought every one home with us. Polka is so funny, loving and original! She's a dash chi- according to our vets best guess! No guarantee on breed because we are unsure of the breed of dad - but mom seems to be a long haired chi! Mom is very tiny - only 8 lbs. Polka at the moment is only 3 lbs. Our vet estimates she will be between 5-10 lbs fully grown. She is 9 weeks old now- Has her first set of vax is dewormed and her spay surgery is covered at Simi Valley Spay Neuter Clinic by our rescue when she is 6-8 months old. As a rescue we are obligated to give an animal a home when readily available. We will not hold the animal for you. We do not transport and we do not accept phone calls initially.
