About Shailo

According to Embark, Shailo is 50% Dutch Shepherd,25% Belgain Malinois, and 25% German Shepherd Dog. She is great with my kids (10, 9 and 7 years old)...she seems to think she is one of them! She has had $$thousands of professional training from an award-winning working breed trainer. House trained, crate trained and knows how to sit, stay, down, come, off, heel. LOVES to fetch...especially her Chuckit kick fetch ball!! Shailo is super-smart and loyal (almost to a fault) She enjoys Romain lettuce, carrots, bananas and melons. Her downfall is resource guarding (food, her human) from other dogs. We have entered the stage of our life where our children are asking for their friends to come over and I can't (out of the utmost extreme caution) allow them to excitedly play out of concern that the dog will misinterpret the squeals and commotion as a problem that needs to be protected. This breaks my heart. Shailo is sooooo smart. She requires a new loving family that is familiar with the breed and its physical/mental stimulation needs and is willing to allow her to escape the hot NC sun with cool indoor AC. She is current on everything, Recently had a dental cleaning and tooth extraction due to breakage. She does have allergies and gets a shot every few months to make her the happiest.
