This is Poncho. He is a stray. He showed up at my house at the beginning of June. He is approximately 10-12 lbs. He is a Chihuahua, and according to the vet, possibly some Chinese Crested, because he doesn't have much hair on his body. I took him to the vet last week and he got all of his shots, plus flea, tick and heartworm medicine. The vet said he is very healthy. He is approximately 4 years old, and unneutered, but he has an appointment this week to be neutered. He gets along well with our 2 larger dogs, and pays no attention to our 3 cats. I have not observed him around children. He is very sweet and friendly and is happiest to sit on your lap. He does great outside, but becomes a little dominant inside. He seems to attach to one person, and doesn't want to be challenged by anyone else when he is inside (he has the 'little dog syndrome'). I'm hoping this will be less of an issue once he is neutered. He is very lovable and sweet and would be happy to lay in your lap and be loved on. He seems to be housebroken, although we have not let him run around the house freely. He has stayed in our dining room at night with no accidents. I think he would be best suited to a home with no children, probably even a one person home with someone who would love to have a lap dog, and could be firm if he tries to get bossy. I would love to see Poncho find a loving, forever home. Unfortunately, we cannot keep him. Please help him find the home he deserves.
