About Little bear

Adoption Fee: $300
Pit Bull mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Hi, I'm Little Bear (ok, I might be a bit more than 'little,' but I'm still cute enough for the name, right?!). I'm just over 1 year old, and I'm a shepherd/lab/pit mix weighing in around 80 pounds with maybe with a little growing left to do. I come from a loving family that had some health issues, which resulted in me searching for my new forever home. They sure did love me and I sure did love them, but I'm hopeful and excited to meet my new family. I hear that it is rare for rescues to know much history about the pets they're adopting out, but they can tell you my entire history! My foster parents will tell you, it took a little bit of time for me to trust them. I used to live on 100+ acres secluded with just my family, so human strangers are new to me. We've been training and practicing human-stranger introductions. I don't want to hurt anyone, I'm just nervous and large so my scary bark can be frightening until you realize I'm just a clumsy teddy bear. Once I trust you, I'm one of the most loyal and protective dogs. My people mean everything to me. Even though I'm not always sure about humans, I'm always ready to play with other dogs. I play really rough and my size can be a bit much for other dogs, so we just need to find the right buddy for me. This is also important because I get restless - I need an outlet for my young pup energy. I've even lived with cats and puppies in the past! I'm 100% ready to find my forever family. I recently was neutered and am now fully vetted, I'm housebroken with zero accidents in my foster homes, I have learned not to jump on the couch or bed, and I'm getting more comfortable with the kennel. My ideal forever home and family: -A house with a decently-sized backyard, with 6' secure fences -Not a lot of strangers coming and going -A dog friend that matches my size and activity level -Kids 12 or older because I might knock them over, and I don't like many sudden movements -Prefer not to be left home alone for more than a few hours at a time https://www.fromforgottentoforever.com/adoptionapplication/
