Dixie is calm and usually lazy. When you walk in the door, she usually greets you with a toy in her mouth and a wagging tail. She will lay or sit on your feet, and follows us into every room. She loves food and treats and is easily trained. She is great at picking up food that kids drop on the floor during meals. She also will play fetch 2-3 times before she wants you to just play tug of war with her. She spends most of her day napping Trained behaviors: Sit, stay, down, kennel, speak, go away, knows her name to come to you, drop it house trained and kennel trained Dixie would do well in a home with a fenced in backyard. A small dog would possibly be ok with her since she lives with a small, submissive male dog currently. Dixie has had corrective ACL surgery which has made her inable to jump or climb too many stairs. She currently has arthritis as well. She is great with kids she knows. She has been around from birth to our kids current ages of 4 and 6 years old. 3 bites- all 'nips' towards people she wasn't formally introduced to with us around. The breed is known for being protective and loyal. She has never shown aggression towards people when we are around. Other behavior issues: aggressive towards new dogs barking at strangers trash dives into cans without lids pulls on leash without gentle leader
