About Lola and Lucky

Adoption Fee: $80
Rabbit
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Lola is the larger one on the left, and Lucky is the one on the right. They are mini rex lops from a breeder somewhere in Bradenton County. They are a little over 18 months old according to the previous owner. I rescued them from a family that didn't know much about proper rabbit care and got them for their kids as a novelty, mostly keeping them in a cage (not good). The previous family had children that mishandled the rabbits as well as dogs, so they aren't fond of being picked up. They enjoy being pet and are litter-box trained. I travel somewhat often for work and feel bad leaving them for extended periods of time and hope I can find them a good home. If you plan on just keeping them in a cage, this is cruelty and I will not let them live in captivity. They openly wander the house and use the litter box. They seem like they were bred for docility as they do not have a lot of energy like other breeds I've owned growing up. Lola is the dominant one and occasionally I see her mounting Lucky, but the Veterinary consultant I spoke to said this is normal dominance behavior in rabbits, and as long as she isn't biting/ there's no fur chunks being removed, then it's just establishing hierarchy among the two of them. They get along with each other great- they're sisters from the same litter and have not been separated since birth.
