About Brandi

We rescued Brandi from the East Valley Shelter 2 months ago. She is a very smart, sweet, beautiful dog. She is 2 and a half years old and 67 pounds. She quickly bonded with my husband and me. She can be very territorial and protective of her home and family. She barks and jumps on our friends when they come into our home. She snaps at us when we get close to her bed at night. We had a wonderful trainer and Brandi learned quickly because she is very food motivated. Our concern is that our young grandchildren come and stay with us a week at a time. We are afraid to take any chances that Brandi may snap at them. We have not had any experience seeing Brandi with children. When we go for a walk, Brandi is very warm and relaxed with humans and other dogs. She is an excellent watchdog. She lets you know when someone is outside. Although, she likes to be near us most of the time, she does like to patrol our yard, bark at wildlife, and sunbathe. Brandi likes to play tug o' war and likes to win. Brandi would make a great pet for someone who takes charge and is consistent with training and has a somewhat active life. We enjoy Brandi but feel we are not a good fit with our family. We love her and want her to find a good new owner.
