About Yoda

Time flys, unless you are a foster dog searching for your forever home. Poor Yoda has been in foster for a year now. A WHOLE YEAR! Yoda has not received any interest whatsoever. This poor girl has been through a lot and just wants someone to spend forever with. She is the most loyal dog ever. Her person means everything to her. And she would follow them to the end of the earth! She was originally adopted as a young puppy. The family that adopted her unfortunately did her wrong with no training. She was placed in a board and train facility by that family and dumped there. A 9 month old puppy dumped. They never returned for her. We picked her up and she went back into foster. She was in foster for 6-7 months until a young gentleman adopted her. She lived with him for a year, thinking she had found her forever. She loved him and he loved her. Unfortunately he feel on rough times and had no choice but to return her. Both heartbroken as they parted ways. From her return she has remained in foster waiting for her forever, which never seems to come. She unfortunately cannot be with other animals. She needs to be the only dog in the home. She is a dominant dog and does extremely well with structure. Yoda craves structure and routine. She needs someone with an alpha personality that can lead her and show her the way. She is housebroken, crate trained, up to date on shots, and spayed. Unfortunately Yoda does have guarding issues when it comes to high value food and treats. Resulting in her not being able to have high value bones or treats. She is currently working with a trainer and is doing very well with him. She will continue to work with him to improve her resource guarding and behavior around other dogs. She loves to be outside and does enjoy getting exercise. She absolutely adores men! She adores attention from her person. Yoda is about 2-2 1/2 years old. She is a Carolina dog mix. If you are interested in adopting please complete an adoption application on our website.
