About Leena

Courtesy post...This sweet 3 year old girl is looking for her forever home ��%90%BE. She came into care as a stray in 2019 and was adopted out . She returned in '21 as too much to handle and expectant mother. She was said to be good with other dogs and older kids, also lived with a cat. Leena must have received training somewhere along the line . She knows sit, paw, wait and possible other commands. She will wait when her food is put down and has no food aggression. She'll even let me take a bone from her mouth .For a big , strong dog she walks in a mostly loose leash . She's even easy to handle when she sees a squirrel ! She would love to great other dogs but will easily 'on by' them or a nose greeting if allowed . She's an easy house dog . She loves having a big bed where she keeps her toys and will easily go into her large crate(42') if asked . She is completely house trained and will let you know with a gentle woof if she needs to go out . She doesn't have to ask often here though as she loves hanging out in the yard, chilling on the deck or actually retrieving balls you throw ! She does need yoys for aggressive chewers as she quickly decimates a tennis ball �'�|lol! Her only downside that J have seen is fearfulness . She was a bit afraid of cars passing by us in her walks and jumped back when a squirrel turned and confronted her. She is also afraid of new people , but who can blame her for this . She will bark at new people being introduced to her . It took a few days for her to stop barking at me when I came in the door . Now she greets me with wiggles and tongue . In the house she only alerts me to Amazon packages being delivered to the door or visitors but no other barking.
