PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 1. Would prefer to be an only dog. 2. Children 8 and up. 3-year-old female Chihuahua, about 8 pounds. My name is Koala, but sometimes my foster parents call me 'LaLa' for short. I am a low energy, easy-going dog who just wants to cuddle with you all day long. I have gone on a few walks around the neighborhood and have found them to be quite enjoyable, but the big world is still a little scary to me. So I will need some confidence building when it comes to new places and new environments. I will probably hate city living, but suburbia suits me just fine. I tend to get along well with humans, men and women. Dogs/cats don't bother me, as I live with a couple of them. However, I am not really into playing with other dogs. All I want to do is snuggle with my peeps and follow them around the house. For most of the day, I am usually sleeping on a dog bed or the couch. If I can cuddle with a person that's always nice, especially when I can be under a blanket! I am a quiet dog, only barking in excitement when my peeps come home! As for children, I have not been around them but I would be okay with them as long as they are gentle and kind to me. Adoption contract and fee applies. Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. Notice: We do not ship dogs out of state unless you are within a five-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
