About Tilly

Tilly is a gorgeous, energetic, gentle, and affectionate, five-year-old, 65-pound, black and tan female Boxer/Coonhound-mix looking for a loving guardian. This girl actually gives hugs and is quite cuddly! Rescued from an animal control facility in rural Kentucky, she didn't have the best start in life. But that luck changed when she came to Chicago. She's not an appropriate dog for an apartment. She's not destructive but she can be vocal while adjusting to a new home. She is housebroken and likes other dogs. She is an alpha female who is great with submissive male dogs, but doesn't do well with cats. She would love a home with a fenced in yard, and maybe even some children who can toss a ball for her! A DNA test revealed that seven different Hound breeds make up 44% of her makeup while the remaining percentage is split equally between Husky and Boxer with a dash (2%) of Tibetan Mastiff to combine for a perfect pooch. Tilly is extremely healthy, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. He is also taking monthly flea and heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee of $375 benefits the Pals Place Rescue.
