About Gretchen

Gretchen is a 2 year old female shorthaired petite calico with a big personality. She gets so excited to see you, and she loves to play. She gets a little overstimulated and reaches her paw out to grab you, but we don't think she means any harm. She just wants you to pet her. She doesn't scratch or bite. She has a very silly playful personality. She was a young mom a few months ago and never got to be a kitten. We think now that she knows what the comfort of a home is, she is letting loose and enjoying being a kitten over again. She acts like a 6 month old. She had babies and was a stray before rescued, but sadly all the babies passed away when she was in the shelter. We were able to bring her into one of our foster homes, where she is thriving. Young kids are not going to a be a good fit as she is still learning interactions and what is proper play. Gretchen is a very affectionate cat, and we would love to see her go to a home that desires a kitty that wants attention 24/7, and wants to adopt a very special beautiful girl that very much deserves a home of her own. She is well behaved, eats well, is healthy, and purrfect about the litter box. We do trial periods prior to finalizing adoption, which will work great for Gretchen as she chooses her new home. Gretchen is vocal, playful (loves a feather wand!) and a great couch buddy. All cats are at least 8 weeks old at time of adoption, are spayed/neutered, FeLV/FIV tested, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated (FVRCP and rabies - if at least 16 wks old), and given a starter dose of flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
