About Curtis! URGENT FOSTER

URGENT FOSTER Needed!! This handsome hound is about a year to a year and a half old. He weighs about 70 pounds. We think he is a redbone coonhound or possibly a shiller hound or some mix of hound dogs with possibly some other stuff mixed in! Curtis would do best in a house with another dog - more on that in a minute. He's got the sweetest, silliest personality. He loves squeaky toys. He's great with humans and big and small dogs and seems to ignore cats. He's house trained and crate trained. His biggest issue is he's a little shy and he's scared of being on leash and freezes like a statue when you want him to move. He was living in a field and had to be trapped, so it is not super shocking that he prefers life without a leash. He is very food motivated, so that helps and he will let you pick him up if he needs to be moved. What really helps though is another dog in the house. He will happily follow another dog even if he is on a leash (at least most of the time) LOL. He will definitely need some work on that, but he's gotten used to a collar so he can get used to a leash! Adoption fee of $250 includes neuter, core vaccines (DAPP and rabies), microchip, access to training videos.
