About River

LOCATION: Albany, Oregon DOB: 07/20/2021 Hi, I'm River. I'm a medium energy gal and enjoy both a good run outside and a long nap on the couch. I'm looking to find a fur-ever couch to call my own. And fair warning that I am a lap dog! Sometimes I like to give little nibbles to your skin, too. But I'm just trying to get your attention. It's probably something I should try to work on since I know not everyone appreciates that kind of affection. And if you are sitting on a chair with nothing to do-fret not--my little paw will give you a nudge and you can just pet me until your heart's content. I walk on a leash pretty well, and I ride in the car like a champ. And I'm housetrained. I will sit like a good girl for my nail trims and also don't mind when my feet get dried with a towel before coming into the house. I love to play with my three foster Danes. We will play for hours outside when mom lets us. I don't even mind the cats, even though I sometimes like to chase them just for fun. I also really like to snuggle with all the kids in the house. I LOVE little kids. So far, I haven't met anyone (adult, child, or fur family) that I don't love! I'm not too fond of my kennel but I do have some separation anxiety. At night, I sleep on a dog bed with my other furry sibling. I do like to shop around on the counter if mom's not looking. You never know what tasty treats might be up there. (She prefers to keep me out of the kitchen.) Sometimes my mouth gets me in trouble in other ways too. It just seems to find fun things around the house that are so chewable! I'm working on my self-control though, and mom says I'm getting better every day. All in all, mom says I'm a really sweet pup and would love to meet you.
