About Spot

This handsome young man is Spot and he's about 1-2 years old and completely house broken Spot is currently living in a house with dogs, kids (6 and 12yr boys), and cats. He does need a lot of redirection, especially with barking at the cats and occasionally stress humping but he is trainable, smart and really wants to please. I would monitor him outside with kids as he is a herding breed and does tend to heel nip with high energy and he is mouthy in general but getting better and improving every day. I'm unsure how he will do with adult males. He is sometimes timid at first meeting with everyone which could have something to do with his past which we know nothing about,so his new family needs to understand this and be patient with him. Spot knows sit and down very well. He is pretty good and come/touch and kennel.He does not like bikes Spot would do better in a home where his person is with him more often than not or they could take him with them to work. He was abandoned by his last family and is happiest when his peole are home. Personally I feel he would be a great emotional support animal because he does help me when I am anxious. He does well in car rides and out and about as long as he's next to his person. Being the breed he is, he needs a lot of mental and physical stimulation and plenty of diffrent types of enrichment. He will follow you around the house and get upset if he can not be near you. He is currently kenneled at night and when we are away from the house. Someone is almost always with him due to his anxiety.
