About Dolly

LOCATION: Watertown, Wisconsin AGE/DOB: 3 years, 04/30/2019 Sweet-as-sugar girl looking for a home of her own. Do you like snuggling with a giant lap dog? A co-pilot on car rides? Then read on about this amazing girl! Meet Dolly! Ms. Dolly is sweet as sugar. She is a huge cuddler and giant lap dog who wants to be on top of you or leaning into you any chance she gets. She LOVES car rides and, not surprisingly, this Velcro Dane wants to be right in the front seat with you. Dolly does well with both men and women, and older kids. This snuggle bug would not mind having her humans all to herself. he is very curious about her foster family's cat and wants to play, but the cat hates Dolly and will not be in the same room without hissing. However, Dolly has shown zero aggression in return. She also has not shown any signs of resource guarding during the time she has been in her foster home. You can give her a bone and take it away without any response from her. She is not too big on toys, but she does love her big beef knuckle bone! Dolly is average in terms of energy levels. She likes to play and run in the yard, but after three laps at full speed she is ready for a break. Also loves to dig in the open dirt. And give this girl soft, plush stuffed toys and she is happy! Dolly knows how to sit, is working on other basic obedience skills, and is easily corrected when she is getting into something she shouldn't. She also does well on leash but may pull when she really wants to go somewhere (just remember, this is a strong XL dog!). Dolly is housetrained and does well in her crate (no whining or acting out) and also out of her crate in the home - though don't leave her alone too long as she is a bored chewer. but she will counter surf and dumpster dive if given the opportunity (aka left unattended for too long with food easily obtainable). Other than those two not so desirable manners, Dolly really is just the best and sweetest dog ever.
