About Rex

Lab / Pit Bull
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Walks? Laying in the sun in the backyard? Snuggling? Squeaky toys? Yes please! If you're searching for a playful lovebug, look no further! Rex is just the man for you! This sweet and loving 2 year old, 42 pound, dashing fellow from Pembroke, MA is a playful pup with a soft spot for his people and will cuddle right up next to you! Rex is a smart, fun loving boy with good house manners who was originally from the south. Rex's ideal home is a relaxed, low traffic setting that is not dog population dense. His new home does require a secure fence as his alter ego may be Houdini, and he can be an escape artist. Rex, an anxious guy, would benefit from a confident dog savvy person with prior experience. Rex coexisted with a doggy brother and children in his previous home. He didn't mind playing dress up with his little humans and got along very well with his four legged brother. While Rex loves his current family unit, he is not too keen on strangers, two legged or four legged. For this reason Rex will be the only pet in the home; however he can have playmates as long as he is properly introduced. Encounters with unfamiliar dogs is where things may go awry. Rex had a run in with another dog on a trail, and unfortunately, the other dog required stitches. He has since been muzzle-trained to avoid any future problem. This smart boy is housetrained with some tricks up his sleeve such as shake, lay down and jump for his treat. Rex is respectful of the home and can be left to free-roam when he is alone. He loves walks, car rides, sunbathing out in the yard, and playing fetch in the yard! While he is a young active pup, Rex also loves to cuddle up next to you on the couch.
