About Vic

Adoption Fee: $375
Great Dane
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Location: Frisco, Texas Age: 8yrs, 04/2014 (estimate) Vic came to his new foster home about a month ago and is doing well. He is extremely affectionate and very social. He loves to be with his people and often stands for a hug when he greets you! If you are sitting, he will bury his head in your lap. His foster family has been pleasantly surprised that this 'older gentleman' is so strong and playful! He can hop in and out of car but is open to assistance. He's trying to get used to the transport ramp. He's a little unsure and prefers to just hop in and go! He loves to go for rides in the car and helps drive too! He's a great co-pilot! He loves to go for walks! He loves to play with his balls and do zoomies all over the place! He would love a big yard to run around and play in. He is polite giving up his toys. He's a prancer and a dancer especially around feeding time or when he's on the hunt! He can spy a bunny yards away and then starts to prance and gallop when he sees them. He would do best with strong handlers because while he will walk nice on leash, in his excitement he may pull you down if you aren't careful! He has been careful around his foster's elderly parents almost looking after them at times. He has not been observed with small children but again due to his nature would be careful as he could accidentally knock a little person over. He loves to cuddle and get massages. He has learned what it's like to sleep on a human's bed and loves it! He wasn't sure at first but quickly caught on that it was awesome! He's potty trained and a good sleeper. He loves his food but does not seem food aggressive; he's currently fed separately from his doggy foster siblings. He will let his foster momma take the food bowl away. He loves bacon and salmon! He is food motivated, so he's have been learning some commands. He does seem a bit dog reactive or unsure at times. There's no rhyme or reason for it. He's been doing small walks at a distance with various dogs with lots of treats. He would do best in a calm environment perhaps as the only dog or another submissive dog. Medically he has been healthy aside from his HW disease, some ear infections and a Mast Cell Tumor. All being treated. His labwork all looked great but he does have a small tumor on his right front leg that needs to come off. The vet will be doing X-rays and surgery soon. Prognosis good, but please keep him in your prayers! He's a handsome loving boy! Your bed and life will be complete with him!!!!! ======================================================== To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 =================================
