Jewels Australian Cattle Dog Mix Female 8 years old 64 lbs. Hello, I'm Jewels. Nice to meet you! I recently found myself without a home but I'm all smiles now that PawsCo is helping me find a new one. I am such a loving, smart, happy girl! I love to be right along your side getting all the love and affection from you. But I also like to be outside with my humans walking, hiking, making friends, looking for squirrels and learning new commands. I am affectionate and enjoy people of all ages very much. My hope is to be an amazing companion for an amazing family who can love me always. My life hasn't always been stable so I need a handful of days to completely warm up in a new home but I promise to be the sweetest, most loyal companion once I've had that time to grow in confidence. While I seem to love people most (p.s. I'm even great with kids! My foster family has two kids age 4 and age 6 and I love to snuggle in their beds with them and be their buddy!), I do really well with other dogs too. I'm more of a 'coexister' with other dog friends but I have been starting to play here and there as I've warmed up more. I would do best with a really easy going dog as dogs that are super high energy make me a bit nervous. And I'm not a dog that needs to really go to dog parks. Just hang out with chill dogs here and there or just be with my humans and I'm so happy! I'm truly such a special gal who is so eager to find a forever family of my own. I am potty trained, do well with crate training when my foster family is away (however I REALLY love sleeping at the foot of the bed with my humans so I'm looking for a family who doesn't need me to be in a separate room from them at night!), and I'm eager to learn. I am a bit of an escape artist if the opportunity presents itself (open door? I'll just help myself to the outside world, thank you very much!) And while I'm not a runner, it's obviously not safe for me to get out on my own so a home where you can make sure doors are secure, etc. is important for me.
