About Thor

Thor is a very friendly, very energetic dog who needs a good home with secure fencing and Husky-compatible people. He appears to be an 'Alaskan Husky,' a bit bigger than a Siberian. Our living situation is changing from 30 acres to a 30-foot boat, which may not provide the best home for him going forward. He showed up at my place in the country two years ago and appeared to be about one year old then. He may have been dumped or just run away, but nobody would claim him. Since then, he has been vaccinated, neutered, chipped, and we are still working on obedience. He is very friendly, loves people, loves kids, loves other dogs. Not cat compatible. Everywhere we go, people exclaim, 'what a beautiful dog!' and he eats it up. If he doesn't get at least five miles of 'walkies' every day, he can get a little mischievous. He hates being left alone and may howl if lonely. Otherwise he's usually very quiet. Except he sometimes barks at delivery drivers (saying hello) or at me if I'm watching TV when he wants to play. Huskys are not dogs for just anybody. Thor needs a securely fenced yard to run in and a person who can deal with high-energy dogs. He would love to have another dog or kids to play with.
