About Baker

LOCATION: Dallas, Texas AGE/DOB: 9 months, 08/15/2021 Baker is a shy, but curious and active pup that would love to be in a patient loving home that will continue her training and teach her to be a confident pup. She takes awhile to warm up to humans, but a gentle hand and lots of treats is guaranteed to lure her out of her shell! She loves to go on leashed walks and is doing very well with positive training methods. She is very quick to pick up on basic obedience such as sit, wait, place and heel. Baker is not reactive to other dogs on leash, but is skittish around other humans. New people, especially children, need to give her time and space to trust. Baker would enjoy having a friendly canine companion to play with and boost her confidence. She is currently living with small and large dogs and cats! She doesn't seem to be interested in balls or squeaky toys, but she is an avid chewer who will steal your shoes if you don't provide her something appropriate to chew on. She especially enjoys treat dispensers and food puzzles. Baker has become a master food ninja, so she will need to be monitored around food within her reach. Baker appears to be housebroken, but she peed once in the house when she was frightened. She is working on becoming more comfortable in her crate with scheduled crate times and given a bully stick to work on. She has escaped her crate before if she becomes anxious or lonely.
