About Josiah

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. We are so sad to have to rehome our puppy Josiah. He is about a year old, and he was a companion for our friend who lives in our home. We were told when we got him that he was 4, and we were not expecting a puppy. He is sweet, silly and FULL of energy! Our friend cannot continue to care for him because she has recently been placed on hospice. Additionally, he has so much energy that he often jumps on her chest or climbs up her body when she's in pain. Normal puppy behavior! Just not a good fit at all for her. Josiah had been with us for about 5 months because we wanted to give him plenty of time to settle and adjust. He needs someone who is patient and firm, but he's a fast learner with commands. He's never been aggressive toward kids or babies, but he does tend to knock them over or be overly playful with them. He'd be better in a family with older kids or no kids. He will make a wonderful companion for someone who has the time and ability to work with him.
