About Cali

I took this dog in about 10 months ago at the behest of my MIL who was pleading with my wife and I to take this dog because she had a lot of dogs and said that she didn't love this one and it just wasn't fitting in well with the other dogs. Me and my wife thought she would be a good fit with us, a more active couple with a lot of time and energy on our hands, and our older lab who is also a female. It took her some time to get used to the other dog but now they get along just fine and I often see them snuggling with one another. She is sweet, playful, affectionate, and likes to cuddle. The reason we are looking to move her is because as of recent we have both started new jobs that require us to be away from home for much longer periods of time. For reference prior to these jobs we would be at home about 18 hours a day and we also had a roommate that had worked a different shift then us. As opposed to now we are home about 14 hours of the day, 8 of those are spent sleeping and no roommate at home while we are gone. Cali is a dog that needs to be frequently attended too and we just cannot currently accommodate that anymore. She is a healthy dog and I have never seen or heard of her biting anybody. She is very shy and timid around strangers and kids. This dog has a lot of anxiety in general and is very fearful.
