About Cairo, expert cuddler!

Cairo is an amazing dog, and I would do anything for him. I love him to pieces. The thought of rehoming him literally breaks my heart. But he needs more than I can give him, and he deserves nothing short of the best care possible. When I adopted him, I was told that he had a little separation anxiety and needed a playmate and someone that worked from home. But I discovered that his anxiety was much more than that. We have made amazing strides in the past 10 months, but I feel that I am putting him at a disadvantage and hindering his potential here. I am seeking a new home for him, where he would preferably be the only dog, no children (or older children that have solid boundaries), and a home familiar with the training required for anxious/reactive dogs. Strangely enough, he loves and respects cats and has never had an issue with our 2 cats. He could be even more amazing than he already is if the only dog in a home or if he is in a home with another confident neutered male or female dog of a decent size. He just deserves more than I can reasonably provide at the time, and I want him to have a happy future in which he can be successful, enriched, and enjoy being a dog. [Adoption fee is negotiable under certain circumstances. Be aware that bringing Cairo into your home will require certain monthly expenses for medication and continued training/intervention.]
